Read Colossians 2:6-15

V 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

Ephesians 2:16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.

No apologies for nagging on about this, but in a culture that is unashamedly egocentric we find in Christ that life becomes God-centred. To follow Christ and be united with him is not simply adding another aspect to our lives – a kind of religious dimension –it IS life; it is this union with him that makes us complete and whole people. The unity that we see in the Godhead becomes reflected in us all together and in the transformed and complete ‘I’.

So united with Christ, and becoming part of his body, linked indissolubly with the total Three-in-one Godhead, we find the wholeness and completeness for which we were made and for which we long with an intense yearning.

Are you complete – and totally satisfied with your current experience of God? If not, perhaps, just perhaps, the old egocentric ‘I’ still holds too much influence in your life.
