v 3 When all the people of Israel saw the fire coming down and the glorious presence of the Lord filling the Temple, they fell face down on the ground and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying,
“He is good! His faithful love endures forever!”
There are a number of times mentioned in the Bible when individuals become aware of the overwhelming presence of God. Such events lead to expressions of praise and worship, and submission to the will of a God who is gracious and faithful in his love.
So here is question for this week: what is worship meaning to you right now where you are, in circumstances unique to you?
Are you aware of the unchanging, faithful love of God for you?
Will you pray for a deep-rooted desire to do his will in your life?
Will you offer yourself wholly, all you have and are, to God as your act of worship and thanksgiving? Paul puts it this way in Romans 12:1
So, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
