Psalm 51;13-15

13 Then I will teach your ways to rebels,
    and they will return to you.
14 Forgive me for shedding blood, O God who saves;
    then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness.
15 Unseal my lips, O Lord,
    that my mouth may praise you
.

These verses may come as a bit of surprise in the circumstances – but form the basis of a wholesome response to God. They are a reminder that the forgiven sinner becomes willing to talk about the consequences of repentance. I will teach your ways to rebels, ..  I will joyfully sing of your forgivenessUnseal my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may praise you.
Repentance, genuinely experienced, draws out a verbal response: the forgiven sinner has something to sing and shout about! You won’t want to keep it to yourself, you want others to know and understand what you have experienced.

Some of us find it easier than others to speak about the meaning of our Christian lives, but whatever your past experience of speaking up let this be your prayer for today:

Unseal my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may praise you
