I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and reflecting trying to make sense of the crazy times we find ourselves in. I don’t mean sitting quietly for hours on end – life seems to have been busier than ever – but musing as I navigate from one end of the day to the other. If I’m honest I think I’ve actually been trying to find impossible answers: how long will life be like this? When will things go back to normal? What is normal anyway? Do I want to go back to the old normal? When can I see my family and friends again? All these questions reveal that I’m looking for an end to all the uncertainty.

It’s exhausting isn’t it? I need to change my perspective, and I have a choice. I can choose to worry about what may happen and I can strive to make things happen on my own, or I can choose to trust that someone, something, bigger than me, has everything under control.

It is easy to forget that the world we live in is always changing and can be unstable in so many ways; there are some things we will never fully understand in this life. But all I have seen teaches me to trust in the Creator for all I have not seen. In the midst of all the uncertainty and the frustrations of our daily struggles at the moment, we can still have peace, comfort, stability and joy if we choose to let go of the things we can’t control and allow ourselves to find an unshakeable trust in our creator! This song helps me to do that – to stop wrestling and just be held in the arms of a God who won’t let go.

Your life’s not falling apart it’s falling into place…
