Hello everybody!

Welcome back to the regular in-the-box daily Hub readings.

As you have probably already noted we are back to reading Psalms for the first week of each month. Just how appropriate was yesterday’s reading from Psalm 42!
My heart is breaking as I remember how it used to be:

I walked among the crowds of worshipers,
leading a great procession to the house of God,
singing for joy and giving thanks

amid the sound of a great celebration!

Chosen several months ago before the lengthy church shut-down  really began to take its toll, the thought is probably echoed by many of us.
Right now however, I am hoping to enlist your help in the writing process.
As well as reading Psalms we shall be looking at various passages that might help to enlarge our thoughts about the Beatitudes as Peter preaches through them. There remain however several weeks to fill, and I wonder if any of you might be willing to write on one or other of these two topics:
1. Books to read or even buy for someone at Christmas.  OR
2. This is a missionary cause I support by prayer and financial gifts.
No need for anything lengthy – 200-250 words is plenty I think. And it is not needed immediately – early October is the kind of time to complete it.
So if you would be willing to write, please get in touch with me either by email
john.rowland61@btinternet.com  or even by phone on 01903 813424.
Your contributions would certainly be interesting, and most welcome.
