Read Proverbs 10:1-32

v 11.     The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain;
             the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.

The fountain that refreshes needy people as you talk with them.

v 19        Too much talk leads to sin.
            Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.

            The blessing of silence as you listen to other people.

v 20        The words of the godly are like sterling silver;
            the heart of a fool is worthless.

            Wholesome conversation is valued by those who join in with it.

v 21        The words of the godly encourage many,
            but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense.

            Thoughtful conversation encourages those who listen.

v 31        The mouth of the godly person gives wise advice,
            but the tongue that deceives will be cut off.

            A godly person – in touch with God – is able to give wise advice.

v 32        The lips of the godly speak helpful words,
            but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words.

            The blessing of helpful words that give courage and strengthen faith.
