Rev Peter Butchers has been the minister at The Hub since 2010. Before that, he and his wife, Vicki, served as church planters in Guayaquil Ecuador with BMS World Mission.
Peter trained at Spurgeon’s College, graduating in 1997, and is just finishing an MA in Theology, Imagination and Culture at Sarum College, Salisbury.
He is interested in the intersection of church with community and theology with culture, and Sunday congregations frequently engage with art, music, film and pop-culture as part of worship together.
In the community, Peter is involved with Steyning Downland Scheme, serving as a trustee.
He is married to Vicki and they have four grown up children, one grandson and Ralph the dog. Peter is a self-declared coffee snob, fascinated by technoculture, devoted to his trusty camper, Tig, and an avid follower of Brighton and Hove Albion.
