v 15. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Just how important is gratitude! I’m aware of a person who may of course feel gratitude but doesn’t seem to get around to expressing it! If you are a parent, you may at some point have had to remind a child about their P’s and Q’s. Perhaps even as an adult you have been pulled up short when you have realised that you failed to thank an elderly relative for a birthday present. We are called on as Church, the Body of Christ, to demonstrate the rule of God as we live in peace with each other and express our gratitude to God for all He has done for us.
Lord, I want to be covered with this new set of beautiful clothing. Empower me by your Holy Spirit to put on the clothing that radiates peace and thankfulness throughout today. AMEN
